Increasing wildfire risk has been reshaping the homeowners insurance market in our region over the last several years. For too many people living in vulnerable areas, the higher premiums are squeezing budgets or are out of reach altogether. Next month State Senator Ricecelli, State Insurance Commissioner Patty Kuderer and Spokane Council member Kate Telis will be cohosting a town hall to discuss the current insurance market and wildfire mitigation efforts.

The town hall will take place on Aug. 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture.

Eagle Ridge Boulevard/HWY US 195 Construction.

The J-turn and Eagle Ridge Blvd. is now paved and open to traffic in both directions.

Crews will demobilize and then return from July 27 through August 10 to complete striping, overhead lighting and signage, and landscaping. Detours will be in place during this work.

The project is expected to be complete on August 10.
